WOW – OpenAI.com – getting dangerously Close to Strong Artificial Intelligence. WATCH OUT CODERS! You must read this! It’s been a while since I posted about the Technological Singularity. My son and I have spent a good amount of time these last 2 days testing this beta site that can do some amazing things…in seconds. Please see below a list of instructions (especially last 2) I gave it with some great results and then log in and test for yourself (go to ChatGPT on main menu).
My own tests of coding and others online seems to indicate it’s very good (in my own test I just found errors in the instructions to apply it, the macro itself worked); and I did find errors when I asked it to write an essay on less known Portuguese writers including my own sister (☹); and it couldn’t estimate for me the cost of the otherwise fabulous meal plan I asked it to write me….
….But this is dangerously close to Strong Artificial Intelligence, it’s not just a single purpose AI.
No volition yet (Phew).

I believe my Guru, Google’s Ray Kurzweil still believes the Technological singularity will happen by 2049….what then!
